Founded in 2025, Pet Info Exchange is a collective of passionate fresh pet food advocates, led by Dr. Cathy Alinovi, a retired veterinarian and lifelong champion of pet health. Our core team also includes manufacturer members of the Next Generation Pet Food Manufacturers Association (NGPFMA), especially those who proactively serve on the NGPFMA steering committee. What sets our steering committee apart is a shared drive to shape the future of the fresh pet food industry—with science, honesty, and transparency at the core.

Pet Info Exchange was sparked by a simple yet frustrating realization: too often, manufacturers and advocates are told there is “no research” supporting the fresh food movement for pets. Having collectively reviewed hundreds of peer-reviewed studies, our team knew this claim wasn’t true. That “aha” moment led us to create a centralized, accessible repository of scientific findings and practitioner experience—so pet owners and veterinarians alike can see the real data.
